The Lower Glenelg River is one of the most popular estuarine
recreational angling locations in Victoria. Go fishing in the River Estuary or along the
sheltered River bank, you can catch Bream, Mullet, Mulloway and Salmon, or go surf fishing
along Discovery Bay.
Paddle Boats, Canoes, Motor Boats and Camper Craft are all available for hire in Nelson.
River cruises on either the Nelson Endeavour or Pompeii's Pride are available on most
days, depending on the time of year. |

The Great South West Walk offers 250
Kilometres of well defined walking track with camp sites, toilets and fresh water all
along the way. Organised twilight and spotlight walks are available in holiday season.

Of the many caves in our region, the main cave of the Princess Margaret Rose Caves is by
far the most beautiful. It contains excellent examples of actively growing stalactites,
stalagmites, helictites and other spectacular limestone formations. The caves are
accessible from Nelson via road or River Cruise. Check with the Nelson
Information Centre for times.
